Melissa means in Greek ‘’bee’’ which refers to the strong attraction that bees have to Grass Balm. The bioactive components of Lemon balm exert positive activities on the central nervous system. A mild sedative, anti-stress and anxiolytic effect can be induced when grass balm is consumed affecting positively mood and cognitive function. Rosemary acid in grass balm assists with insomnia and digestive discomfort during pregnancy and recovery from childbirth.

Mandarin peel

It is known for its high content of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, as well as being rich in folic acid, vitamin C, carotenes, essential oils, pectin, and fiber. It can support digestion by regulating smooth muscle contraction in the gut and induce nausea. It relieves cramps by hyperactive contact and supports bowel mobility by encouraging contractions of hypofunctional muscles. Also, limonene and alpha-pipeline in tangerine peel exhibit antibacterial and antifungal properties. They can soothe heartburn and acid reflux and provide anti-inflammatory compounds in the gut.

Raspberry leaf tea

A member of the Rosacea family is considered one of the top five herbs being used by pregnant women. Red raspberry leaves are high in iron, vitamins A, B, E, C, and magnesium and are a very well-known herb tonic for the womb. It has been used medicinally for centuries, with it being the best known and oldest of all the herb infusions used as an aid in maternity. Raspberry leaf tea has been used for morning sickness, uterine irritability, preventing hemorrhage, and threatened miscarriages. It is believed to strengthen the uterus throughout pregnancy and labor. Moreover, women consuming raspberry leaf tea are more likely to have an unassisted vaginal birth, a shortened labor, and are less likely to require artificial rupture of membranes or cesarean section delivery.

Spinach

It is a known green leafy vegetable that can benefit pregnant women with iron, folic acid, magnesium, and protein. The mild, slightly sweet, and robust flavor of spinach, rich in B vitamins can help improve mood during pregnancy, reduce oxidative stress, and improve eye health.
